The Vacancy
The Role:
The role involves the development of your own panel of brokers through the acquisition of new business and the renewal of an existing book of Business within a Trading team of 10 underwriters. The successful candidate will have at their disposal a unique selection of commercial insurance products including, Property, Liability, CAR, Professional Indemnity, Bonds, Legal expenses and other niche insurance offerings provided by a select panel of Insurer partners.

Focus Underwriting, part of BJP Insurance Brokers Ltd based in Wokingham Berks, is a Managing General Agent underwriting Commercial insurances on behalf of a select panel of Insurers. BJP was established in 1998 and four years later they set up Focus underwriting agency to underwrite commercial insurance business.
The Candidate:
Candidates will ideally have:
At least 2 years commercial underwriting experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well within a busy team environment
Educated to A level standard
Good MS office skills
Excellent time management skills
Good relationship building skills
and Cert CII qualified
